Drain Cleaning & Sewer Camera Inspection in York County

One slow drain is a clog. Every drain slow at once is a main line problem, and clearing it without looking at why just books you a repeat visit. We put a camera down before we quote anything serious.

Reading the symptoms

One drain or all of them? It matters

Where the trouble shows up tells you how far down the problem is.

🚰

One fixture slow

A local clog in that trap or branch. Straightforward, and usually the cheapest call we take.

🏠

Every drain slow

That is the main line, not the fixtures. Clearing one sink will not touch it.

🫧

Gurgling when something else drains

Air being pulled through the trap because the line is partly blocked further along. An early warning worth acting on.

🛁

Toilet flushes, tub backs up

Classic main line blockage. Stop using water and call — this one gets worse fast.

👃

A sewer smell indoors

A dry trap, a failed seal, or a vent problem. Not always a blockage, and worth finding properly.

🔁

Cleared before, back again

Repeat clogs in the same line are not bad luck. Something down there is catching — roots, a belly, a broken section.

How we work

We look before we cut

Anyone can push a cable down a line and get the water moving for a fortnight. That is not the job.

If a line has blocked more than once, we run a camera and find out why. Roots at a joint, a section that has bellied and holds water, a collapsed length of clay — those are three different problems and only one of them is solved by snaking. You get to see the screen too. No one should be asked to approve a dig based on a description.

In the older boroughs — York City, Glen Rock, Red Lion, Dallastown — a lot of what is under the front garden is clay pipe laid in sections, and tree roots find the joints. If your house is pre-war and the line has blocked twice, the camera is not an upsell. It is the only way to know whether you are looking at a repair or a replacement.

Pricing

What moves the price

  • How far in it is — a trap under a sink is not a main line 60 feet out.
  • Access — a proper cleanout makes this quick. No cleanout means going in through a fixture or the roof vent.
  • What we find — a soft blockage clears; roots and collapses are a different conversation, and we will show you the footage before we have it.
  • Camera inspection — included when we are quoting a repair, because we are not asking you to take our word for it.

Flat price in writing before we start, and no overtime charge if it backed up on a Saturday night.

Backing up right now?

Stop running water — every flush adds to what is already on the floor — and call. We will talk you through it while we are on the way.
