Where we work

Pick your town

Drive times are from Glen Rock in normal conditions. Each town has its own page, because the plumbing in a pre-war borough is not the plumbing in a 1990s subdivision on a well.

Two counties in one

The line that actually matters here

For a plumber, York County splits less by geography than by water. The older boroughs — York City, Red Lion, Dallastown, Glen Rock, Seven Valleys — are municipal service with aging supply lines and clay sewer laterals under mature street trees. The problems there are age problems: galvanized pipe closed up from the inside, roots at every joint, laterals that back up on a schedule.

Out from those centres it is well country. Pennsylvania has more than a million private wells serving around three and a half million people, and no statewide construction standards governing how any of them were built. The problems there are completely different: pressure tanks, switches, hardness, iron, and pumps that have been short-cycling themselves to death for years.

Most plumbers are comfortable with one of those and not the other. We work on both, which is worth establishing before you call anyone — particularly if you are on a well.

Not sure if we reach you?

Call and ask. If someone closer would get to you faster in an emergency, we will tell you that instead of taking the job.
